This cauliflower recipe is remarkable. I follow it pretty much as it reads and have now made it twice and later the first time shared with my mom who entertains all the time and she loved it as well. I'one thousand in Wisconsin so fresh dill is nonexistence for at to the lowest degree half of the twelvemonth but a tsp. of dill weed works very nicely. My hubby and I both concur that after this last ane, we need to get ii heads of cauliflower, nosotros obviously exercise not play well when it comes to this dish and need one to call our ain.
12/29/2013
I've been wanting to roast cauliflower for some fourth dimension at present and am very happy to have institute this recipe. I loved that I could roast the whole head intact instead of having to cut it into florets. I did apply low-fat butter (Land O' Lakes spreadable) and used 1 t. stale dill instead of 1 T. fresh dill. The seasoning combination was great.
08/thirty/2014
I followed the recipe exactly and we've been eating this regularly. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Loved cauliflower before. Beloved information technology fifty-fifty more than now! The whole family looks forward to eating it. Making it once more tonight!
ten/xxx/2014
Made it tonight, and it's a bully suggestion that's really like shooting fish in a barrel to vary.
07/08/2014
I like the basic premise of this recipe, merely I like the cauliflower cut up and so placed in a plastic purse with marinade ingredients and shaken. The inside of the cauliflower tasted steamed when I cooked information technology whole.
06/09/2014
I used kokosnoot butter instead considering I didn't want the whole house to be smoky from cooking information technology in the oven. I also mixed all the ingredients with plain yogurt to allow information technology to seal in the juices. I think it would be fifty-fifty better if you utilize mayo. Just if you employ just the seasoning I think it would be too dry. I just posted pics of my roasted cauliflower. This turned out perfectly. If you lot serve information technology while hot it is moist and wonderful. Not sure about leftovers, nosotros didn't take whatsoever. And so I guess that'due south a skillful sign.
08/21/2013
I like this dish. I've never used cumin, lemon zest, and dill together. I liked the depth of flavor it gave to this vegetable.
11/11/2015
My cauliflower was huge, so this recipe didn't work for me at all. The flavour of the butter spread was great, but I cooked for i.v hours and it was still practically raw when it was time to eat it. Then, I took the foil off and cooked it for some other half hour at 375 degrees and information technology finally was skilful, merely not groovy. I guess this recipe calls for a very small-scale head, simply in that case, it's not worth all the fuss; I'd rather only steam it and pour this butter/spice mixture over the pieces.
01/27/2015
This recipe is sooo good! I had to make some changes because I didn't have everything on paw. My changes: I used i teaspoon stale dill instead of fresh. I used 1 teaspoon garlic paste instead of a garlic clove. And I didnt have lemon zest, then I used a 1/2 teaspoon of stale lemon zest. Instead of blistering it whole...I cult it into florets, tossed it all together in a ziplock purse, then baked in a greased blistering dish. Baked 450 degrees for 30 minutes (stir 1/two fashion through).
02/19/2015
Recipe is cracking..I am non a fan of DILL so I used chives instead and as on reviewer suggested using mayo to keep it from being to dry would probably work great.. I think some reviewers are missing the whole idea of the recipe in that that it totally looses the actually great idea and purpose to roast it whole and serve by slices...its a fashion more dramatic eye entreatment and it gives the cauliflower alot of season from seasoning but also the bodily taste of cauliflower maintains its integrity! Fyi at that place are several recipes out there with dissimilar seasonings and you could substitution those with pretty much whatever other seasonings/flavors.. perfect dish to bring to a party! Heart-catching for a social outcome and dressing up such a uncomplicated healthy vegetable. Cheers for sharing!
02/x/2015
The presentation of this dish is gorgeous. My whole family loved this dish. I substituted olive oil for butter keeping the measurement the aforementioned. I as well cooked it for 1.5 hours.
07/31/2014
Tried this as written....Outstanding! This is a very, very, skillful dish. You could change it 50 different ways, but why???? It's dandy as written. The cumin makes information technology.
07/21/2015
This was delish, but I did make a few adjustments. I used dried dill weed, as I didn't have fresh and roasted it uncovered at 400 for an hour. Non sure why the recipe says to embrace it, considering it won't get brownish if y'all do. I basted it a few times while cooking and squeezed some fresh lemon juice on elevation right at the end. Anyhow, overall information technology is a delicious recipe with a unique flavour profile that totally works. Thanks for posting.
eleven/27/2014
I made this for Thanksgiving today and it was outstanding. I didn't have room for information technology in the oven since the turkey was in there and information technology says to cook for a lilliputian over an hour, and so I simply it in the microwave for 15 minutes and and then when the turkey was done I put it in the oven for 25 minutes covered and added a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese over the top (too I used lemon pepper instead of lemon zest and pepper since I didn't have lemon zest on hand). Was sooo good! Volition differently be making this again!!
09/08/2015
Absolutely Delicious!! Information technology didn't last long at all. The fresh dill and garlic is a great mix. Only thing I changed was instead of blistering for the time given...I steamed my caput of cauliflower for about xxx minutes before baking. It actually cut the broil time in half and held a lot more than of the moisture.
06/24/2014
Best cauliflower always! I fabricated it with purple cauliflower and it was a stunning side dish.
09/27/2014
Perfect! Fifty-fifty my ii yr old ate it all. I didn't have lemon so I used grapefruit zest and it was amazing. I don't call back you lot tin wrong. I did cut the florets off and shake them in a ziploc with the marinade before roasting for xv-20 minutes but everything else was truthful as listed. SOOOOO practiced.
06/29/2014
Splendid. We loved this dish. My teen age daughter was trying to make cookies and kept stopping to eat left over cauliflower!
02/27/2015
I love roasted cauliflower, only to cutting down on the calories I used calorie-free mayo to cover the cauliflower. It was excellent and moist, all other herbs are expert to apply. Top with either lemon or lime juice.
12/26/2014
For those who similar their cauliflower softer, I broil mine at 375 degrees for i i/ii hours. I think it is succulent. I like to spice mine with lemon pepper.
10/13/2014
Made it exactly as written, just maybe my oven needs adjusting every bit the cauliflower remained pretty raw, so neither of u.s. actually enjoyed it all that much even though we are cauliflower fans. I didn't surrender though! Took leftovers to piece of work the next 24-hour interval and had to use a microwave to reheat information technology (that's all we have at work), which I did for about 5 min on high. DELICIOUS! It only had to get completely done - I will do this once more, but I will arrange my oven to get it cooked through this fourth dimension. I'll bet I give 5 stars next time! Thanks for a beautiful and flavorful cauliflower idea!
12/04/2015
This was sooo good, but I made lots of changes. Doubled the garlic and cumin, did one-half butter half olive oil, squeezed a few lemon wedges into the sauce, broke half a cauliflower into florets and quartered two chicken breasts. Threw information technology all in a ziplock bag together and shook shook shook. Dumped into a casserole dish and broiled at 450 for x minutes, mixed information technology around and flipped the chicken, and baked for 10 minutes more.
12/24/2014
Followed the recipe to the tee and the family loved information technology. Very easy and very delicious
10/29/2014
Perfectly delicious! I did split up the cauliflower into smaller pieces considering I wanted each to be coated with the marinate, and I as well didn't have time to do the longer roasting period that a whole head requires. I will brand this once again and over again!
eleven/06/2015
This is glorious. I never knew I liked cauliflower until this recipe came along. I've tried it every different fashion from Dominicus (steamed, mashed, covered in cheese) and hated the stuff. I roasted it with this recipe and ate the entire caput myself. Now when I brand this recipe, I make a whole head for me and a head for everyone else to share. Then only changes that I made were that I use olive oil instead of butter and I cut the florets off and roast them in a pan. Truly wonderful dish with a corking meld of flavors.
06/21/2016
I fabricated it the aforementioned way as reviewer "but...jam" and it was delicious: instead of i/4 cup butter i used 2 tbsp olive oil.. 1 tsp stale dill for fresh.. and 1 tsp garlic pulverization for fresh.. i cutting the cauliflower into florets and added all the ingredients in a large zip lock bag to combine.. and then baked the cauliflower in a greased 2 quart drinking glass dish at 450 for approximately 25 minutes.. turning half way through.. did not cover with foil..
02/25/2015
Very easy & extremely tasty!
04/04/2015
The fresh dill and lemon zest are key. This is addicting. Make it once a calendar week now. i use olive oil because the butter gets smokey
05/xi/2014
This is astonishing. My little tweeks were afterward melting 1/4 C butter, I added a squeeze of lemon and 2 Tbsp of pesto sauce. Poured information technology over the cauliflower and baked as directed. I will try the original recipe as I love all the flavors shown. Love the easiness of this recipe not to mention the taste. Then much amend than just steaming.
02/13/2016
Delish! Easy, but be mindful of the cooking time. Information technology was fully roasted at hour and I kept it on a hold temp of 200 before serving (approximatly 1 60 minutes longer) My guests and family unit LOVED this. Thank Y'all
07/xv/2015
Made per instructions but found it very bland.
06/11/2016
This worked out Groovy!! Its HOT here in AZ. Made this out on the patio in my Summer Time Toaster Oven. Snuck in a Tbl. of Miso Paste for another level.. Betwixt the grill and T Oven. I hope I can ignore my within oven till Turkey Day!
05/18/2015
I followed recipe and didn't have lemon zest only added lemon juice, added some of my bootleg Cajun spice and it was phenomenal!!! Volition cook this again, and volition allow it to brown longer.
10/05/2019
This was good. I made it exactly as written except that I cooked information technology in my Dutch oven with the hat, not foil. I remember the next time I might add together some cayenne pepper and a piddling less cumin. And if I'd have left information technology in the oven for the whole time it would have been mushy then check for doneness as it cooks. Mine was washed in an 60 minutes.
01/24/2015
I made this tonight and loved it! Information technology didn't cook all the way through and so I microwaved it for two minutes and it was perfect! Like other commenters, I was unable to find fresh dill and so I used dry. Will definitely make this again. I was wondering if this would work in a slow cooker. Anybody try that?
03/04/2016
This was really skilful! I followed some other reviewer's changes and cut the cauliflower into florets, then tossed them in a bag with olive oil instead of butter. Likewise used dried dill. Broiled at 450 for about 25 minutes uncovered, stirring halfway through.
03/29/2020
Like shooting fish in a barrel and super skillful. Added a little rosemary. We polished it off hot out of the oven standing in the kitchen.
06/02/2014
4 stars because it was like shooting fish in a barrel. I didn't care for the gustatory modality and so much, was kind of bland, and definitely don't listen to the review that says it could use more lemon.
10/09/2016
I threw in some minor potatoes around the cauliflower. Delicious
05/08/2019
DID NOT LIKE It
04/27/2016
Nosotros had to cease my 5 twelvemonth old from eating it. He must take ate most ane/ii a head. Lol
02/02/2016
I love the combination of flavors on this, and the presentation of having wedges is unlike and fun. My very pocket-size head of cauliflower was yet hard and crunchy after an 60 minutes and a half in the oven, but this might take been my error, since I didn't encompass information technology. Probably will cover next time to get a trivial steam activeness going, then uncover at the finish to dark-brown upward a chip better. I used trans fat free margarine with flax and only had stale spices, but still really yummy.
06/10/2014
This was a large hitting at my house, followed the recipe. the flavors was great I will make this again for certain. I recall next time I'll cook it for just an hour, or at least examination information technology and so, it was very soft. Thanks, Happy Cooking
07/31/2020
I volition add more spices adjacent time just, turned out yummy!
03/07/2022
My friend showed me this years ago. Spread butter and put what ever spices yous like. Throw in round niggling roaster with rack if you have one. Do two if entertaining if yous like calliflower information technology's a hit. With kids melt cheese to cascade over it.
01/07/2019
I used Olive oil instead of the butter and added extra seasonings. It was very good. Side by side time I will bake it longer due to loftier altitude cooking.
08/05/2014
Turned out great! Followed recipe exactly- adding about an boosted 1/16-1/8tsp for each seasoning; used parsley as I did not have dill. Will definitely brand again.
02/15/2018
My hubby likes cauliflower (I don't) and I'm always looking for new ways to brand it. This is by far my favorite. The cauliflower had some crunch left to it and great season. I enjoyed information technology as much every bit he did!
01/30/2015
This tasted great, but at that place was no "sauce". Information technology was but a thick conglomeration of the ingredients that didn't really penetrate the cauliflower. It besides took a lot more than time to cook. I took it out at 1 ane/4 hours and information technology was nonetheless half raw. With that beingness said, the end product was tastier than your run of the mill roasted vegetable. I would make information technology again.
04/04/2017
This is a simple and great way to savour cauliflower. I dropped the dill and used well-nigh one/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper in place of the black pepper forth with a piffling turmeric. I similar 'playing' with herbs so I take a feeling it will be a little different each time I brand it. So adept, and so piece of cake.
12/28/2018
Loved this idea. Popped it in the Weber to cook resting with a piece of foil underneath to catch the melting butter - could fifty-fifty put a fleck of grated Parmesan through that butter as well (next time) as it's a keeper.
05/05/2014
Very good. Interesting texture.
10/01/2014
Everyone liked this elementary recipe. Especially the babe!!
02/07/2017
Definitely put that recipe in my saved group.
11/03/2018
Tried to follow the recipe without changes. Cauliflower was bland. All the seasoning dripped off the cauliflower while cooking. Skilful texture on the cauliflower through.
06/ten/2018
This is 1 of my favorite means to prepare cauliflower. It's delicious, easy and anybody likes it.
02/07/2017
Definitely put that recipe in my saved grouping.
11/10/2019
I made pretty close to as written. The only change that had been done was with the lemon. I forgot to pick one up and so used just a few drops of lemon juice. Took a little longer to cook in the oven but was worth the await was a wonderful flavour. Great receipt.
07/23/2018
I didn't have dill, so I only went without, but information technology was nonetheless delicious.
01/31/2017
We LOVED this recipe and our picky eater son loved it too!
04/29/2019
Yummy! Served on a pile of quinoa.
07/02/2015
not good
xi/21/2015
Loved it & and then did the family!!!
08/08/2016
I wasn't a fan of the spice mix in this recipe just the technique is great. The second I made this I left out the cumin, dill, and lemon and sprinkled on some parmesan. Excellent recipe.
07/thirteen/2019
We really enjoyed this. Had a larger head of cauliflower so it took an actress fifteen minutes to cook. No big deal. Be careful not to soften the butter too much or it drips off of the cauliflower into the baking pan. Dill is one of my favorites and added a lilliputian more. Was worried about the mix of Cumin and cauliflower. Don't skip it! It was great. Who would've thought? Nice roasted cauliflower side dish. We had with a pork chop with mushroom dish from this site and information technology was a dainty pairing. Thanks for sharing.
01/12/2017
I followed the directions exactly since this was the first fourth dimension I was trying it. Although it was perfectly cooked and looked wonderful after 1 hour and 12 minutes, for my taste it was banal. But seemed to exist lacking something. I actually tried a 2d helping with some grated sharp white cheddar. May try it once again subbing the EVOO (or calorie-free mayo equally suggested by another reviewer) for the butter.
04/08/2019
Who has 2 hours to roast a whole cauliflower?? Used all the seasonings listed in the recipe but melted the butter, added the seasonings, chopped that sucker upwards and tossed information technology in the seasoned butter. Spread evenly on a lined and sprayed baking sheet, roasted at 350° for thirty mins, tossed, then cranked it up to 450° for 10 more. Yous can keep it super simple and just use garlic, salt and pepper in the butter or fifty-fifty olive oil. Neat flavor!!!
04/20/2020
Idea this was easy and succulent . The just change I made was to use less cumin as I'k not a fan.
02/04/2014
As soon as I constitute out I didn't have to cut up the cauliflower, I was a fan! The flavour of cumin is gentled by the roasting. Lovely dish.
05/xvi/2020
I followed JusJam'due south recipe and it was enjoyed!
02/01/2020
information technology's in the oven right at present next to the roasting garlic!!
04/17/2017
I enjoyed the spices merely I would separate the florets to encompass more of the cauliflower
04/08/2019
This was very tasty, but it definitely took longer to cook. More like 2 hours. I increased my oven temp to 375 and took of enough flowerets for dinner, and so put back. Depends on size of head. I would probably cutting up and roast on a tray next fourth dimension. Seasoning was great. Thank y'all!
03/29/2020
I but made this recipe. It is the best cauliflower that I (and my wife) have had.- takes the bland out of cauliflower. Without fresh lemons on manus, I substituted lemon juice for the zest. Still excellent.
02/26/2020
What a great combo! I unremarkably add cumin, simply I never would accept thought of the dill--and it works! I prefer to cutting it upwardly into florets, spray olive oil on a cookie canvas, and so castor on the butter/herb mixture. Half way through only stir it effectually a scrap. I baked it longer, simply had to turn information technology down afterwards 15 minutes to 350 to share with some broiled craven. Information technology withal came out brownish and delicious!
02/04/2020
I followed the original recipe. It was delicious! Will definitely make it again.
02/08/2015
This recipe was a disappointment for us. I e'er attempt practise a recipe exactly the first time simply I didn't accept fresh dill so I used 1 tsp of dried equally another reviewer mentioned. Cooked mine for 1-1/2 hrs then put it under the broiler to get some browning. The florets seemed to be the right tenderness but the interior parts were inedible. There wasn't whatsoever pan drippings. I merely know there is a roasted cauliflower out there with my proper noun on it but this wasn't it! Will try the "steaks" next time
02/22/2016
This is great. I was worried about all the dill but it was really good.
01/24/2017
I volition definitely brand information technology again. I like cauliflower done anyway just this way was really good. My husband hates cauliflower. I told him this recipe will turn a cauliflower hater into a lover. He said yep right. Well he ate it and went back for seconds. Offset time he's ate it in the 37 years I have known him.
05/10/2019
This was so easy and turned out delicious, perfect side dish or meal, yum!
02/02/2016
I wanted so badly to like this recipe, but I couldn't become it to melt through to save my life. Started at 90 minutes, because I saw the reviews saying 1 hour xv min wasn't sufficient for them -- only after that, middle was yet rock solid. Tried another xxx minutes, simply eye was notwithstanding inedible -- I ended up only serving the florets, which had started to dry out (even covered). Will try "Steaks" next time.
02/07/2017
Very good, and simple. I doubled the garlic just stuck to the recipe otherwise. Next time I'll probably take the foil off 1/2 way through, to try for a slightly crispier stop. For those who said that 1/ii a stick of softened butter was not enough, I suggest using your (make clean, of course) fingers to spread the seasoned butter, rather than a castor that will hang on to a skilful proportion of the softened (Not melted) butter.
04/11/2020
So tender and yummy! The recipe was incredibly like shooting fish in a barrel to execute.
07/02/2020
I'yard a cauliflower fan and a dill fan, but didn't like doll on this cauliflower. It takes style too long to cook and the cauliflower was just o.k. Waste matter of fourth dimension and cauliflower.
x/thirteen/2016
Even easier than the steaks! I institute information technology better as well. Covered with tin foil but had to cook extra half-hr anyway. Well worth it! Be generous with your spices! It's a must endeavor...
04/27/2016
This was awesome, and the buttery liquid at the bottom after its done cooking will be saved to acme potatoes tomorrow. Information technology was very skillful. I didn't have cumin, so I put Currey in its place.
08/24/2020
Terrific recipe, I've been looking for a recipe for whole cauliflower for a while and this i checked all the boxes. It was delicious and the whole fam agreed. Definitely a keeper!
03/27/2020
Everyone loved information technology. We were having company that night and fabricated this easy, swell looking dish. It was a hitting. Easy to gear up alee and throw in the oven. It looked succulent sitting on it's platter at the table, easy to pull apart and very flavorful. We'll brand again.
04/29/2019
Yummy! Served on a pile of quinoa.
08/25/2018
Later reading reviews I decided to switch things up. I used a small head of cauliflower, olive oil, turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, lemon juice, table salt and pepper. Baked covered at 350 for 1.5 hours. Will definitely make again.
12/31/2017
My married man and I both loved this! I used dill weed as some of the others suggested. We will definitely brand this again, and maybe add some parmesan cheese.
01/08/2017
Made it in Crock-Pot. Added a splash of olive oil to keep it from sticking.
05/22/2015
Great recipe but since I'thou non a dill fan, I used fresh rosemary from my garden and added capers. I used butter and lemon olive oil too. I like the ease of non cutting the cauliflower and only baking it whole!
10/20/2015
I made this terminal night for the 1st time and it was so succulent. Roasting the whole cauliflower gave it a nutty flavor and everyone really enjoyed it. I will make this again.
06/26/2020
Love it wasn't sure I would like the dill only it was a wonderful and easy to make
02/29/2020
Made the exact recipe. Institute it to be extremely bland. Also, took longer to melt than stated.
02/22/2015
I tried this recipe today and loved it. It sure beats breaking the califlower into florets. I didn't take fresh or dried dill then I skipped it. Information technology was delicious anyway.
11/thirty/2018
Followed the recipe exactly and my family loved information technology! Yes I will definitely brand information technology again!
