Outset your review of Raggedy Ann Andy: A Read-Aloud Treasury

Don't overlook this volume! These are wonderful, archetype stories. Gruelle had an ability that most modern writers lack: the ability to make elementary, piddling things similar pulling taffy seem important and interesting. The only living author I know of who can do this is Shirley Hughes, and she is 93.
Children honey these sweet, simple stories and they are perfect for housebound families in 2020/2021. They're uplifting and largely dwelling house-based.
Don't overlook this book! These are wonderful, classic stories. I absolutely loved the dolls as a girl and beingness able to share the stories, that were new to me too, was a great bonding experience over the final few nights as I read to her. I highly recommend this book.

I love Raggedy Ann and Andy. I do still have a Raggedy Ann doll and I did have some figurines of her and Andy when I was small. Unfortunately, I don't know whatever happened to them. But at to the lowest degree I however accept my Raggedy Ann doll. :)
Anyways, I thought all these stories were and then cute. While we all know that the characters are indeed dolls, they're all the same involved in important themes to real life such as making friends, treating anybody the way they'd want to be treated, and loving one another. I love Raggedy Ann and Andy. I do yet have a Raggedy Ann doll and I did have some figurines of her and Andy when I was small. Unfortunately, I don't know whatever happened to them. Just at to the lowest degree I all the same have my Raggedy Ann doll. :)

The magic of toys and what they do when you lot're not around is just as good as it was 20 years ago. My children are enjoying this bedtime story and ask for it oft. Book includes several "stories" broken downwards into chapters and has a few colored illustrations. A niggling as well sugary sweet for my boys. We read it off and on but I could tell they weren't that into information technology. I never read these stories growing up so it was interesting for me. There are blatant lessons about being cheery and squeamish and unselfish. Raggedy Ann reminded me a little of Pollyanna. :) A little too sugary sweet for my boys. Cute, short stories virtually a grouping of kind and innocent dolls.
My kids are loving stories nigh what toys do when we're not around. I received this book from my grandma, accompanied with a Raggedy Ann and a Raggedy Andy doll.

Just bought this one and started reading it with the kids at their request - they wanted to hear the stories that proceed with their Ann and Andy dolls.
Johnny Gruelle was an American artist, political cartoonist, children's volume author and illustrator (and fifty-fifty songwriter). He is known as the creator of Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy. He had such confidence in his design that often he would create the terminal ink work without first sketching in pencil.
